McKinney Greens - Landscape/Irrigation Update - City work impact notice - August 20, 2024

McKinney Greens Homeowners,

The McKinney Greens landscape vendor contacted the Board to notify them of ongoing and upcoming city workaffecting the HOA's common area.

While onsite yesterday, our Irrigation technician was approached by several members from the City of McKinney ParksDepartment. The Parks Department advised they will pour a new sidewalk and break up some of the HOA irrigation inthe process. As some might have noticed, we had issues with plants dying earlier this summer; the problem was thatone of the valves kept getting turned off; it turns out that the areas where the parks department will be working arenear that valve. In further findings, without our knowledge, the City has been turning off that valve as it waters some ofthe park. Therefore, this would be the result of the dying color in this area.

Additionally, we have been advised that the construction has already broken multiple pipes and may have broken amainline. The City has shut down irrigation in the monument area of Eldorado for now. Our Irrigation tech provided ourLandscape Manager with the city parks' contact information, and he has already left them a message to discuss theseissues further. At this time, we don't have specific details on the full scope of the sidewalk project or information onwhat the City plans to do about the damaged irrigation and dying color impacted by their construction.

Rest assured, the HOA is committed to resolving these issues. We will continue to work closely with the City to ensureour property is repaired and plants are reinstalled. As we gather more information, we will promptly update thecommunity. We understand that ongoing work at the entrance may cause some inconvenience, but please know thatwe are dedicated to resolving any issues that may arise.
